SURFSIDE BEACH RESCUE was founded November 1965 to provide urgently needed
pre-hospital medical care to Surfside Beach and the surrounding communities. Over
the past 40 years, pre-hospital care has evolved into a very respected facet of the
medical profession. With the continued support of our highly valued volunteer
members and community, SURFSIDE BEACH RESCUE has been able to keep pace with the
advancements in education and equipment. Without the enthusiasm of our members, the
organization would have ceased to exist a long time ago. It is individuals who
display the enthusiasm and compassion for others, that has enabled SURFSIDE BEACH RESCUE
to become a highly recognized volunteer organization along the Grand Strand.

Rescue (Surfside, Garden City, or Socastee) please consider supporting the squad. We have
plenty of volunteer positions open including drivers, EMT, Paramedic or about anything else
-including clerical and office assistance.
